Johnny David Damonis an American professional baseball outfielder who began playing in Major League Baseballin 1995. He last played in 2012, though he has not officially retired. In his MLB career, Damon has played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Raysand Cleveland Indians. It was a pretty tense game. Fortunately, we're 1-0 right now. They battled us. It shows you that the rest of the world has caught up to the U.S. in baseball.

Their fans were incredible. It probably felt like a home game for their guys. The feeling inside the stadium was awesome.

I'm going to spend a lot of time with these guys and I want to get off to a good start, say 'Hi' and kind of get things rolling. This is going to be my family for this season, the next four seasons.

I'm going to follow the lead of a lot of these guys who have been here before, but everyone knows the type of guy I am. . . . I've always been able to mix with whatever team I've been on and I've been able to enjoy every team I've been on.

baseball comfort excited good playoff season spot until win
I'm not going to get too excited about anything, not until we clinch a playoff spot and then after that not until you win the World Series. So there's not much comfort right now. We know we have to go play good baseball or we know our season is going to be over.
