John Laurence Milleris an American former professional golfer. He was one of the top players in the world during the mid-1970s. He was the first to shoot 63 in a major championship to win the 1973 U.S. Open, and he ranked second in the world on Mark McCormack's world golf rankings in both 1974 and 1975 behind Jack Nicklaus. The carburetor malfunctioned, causing the engine to flood and essentially shut off on every restart, ... The problem also surfaced on pit road, so it made for an interesting day. On the long runs, we were turning lap times within the top 15 cars in the race, but on the restarts, we'd fall back 10 or more positions, so we had to keep fighting our way up from the back of the field.
