battle bit guy knows pride rehab sure team
I'm sure he is. He's got a lot of pride, he's been through a lot with the rehab to get well, with the knee, with the back. I think, in his own mind, he's probably a little bit frustrated. But he's a team guy and he knows it's a long battle back.
exceeded football front great high
He really hasn't exceeded our expectations; our expectations were very high for him. He's just got it all in front of him; he's going to be a great football player.
beaten dwell fist football hell negatives physically positive quality roll team tested
But in some ways, this is a real positive for our football team, for us to be tested in this way. We physically got beaten by a quality football team (Carolina). You can dwell on the negatives or you can do something about it and roll your fist up and play a hell of a lot better.
block excuse explode finish injury miss run rushing somebody yards
I am not going to use his injury as an excuse for us having 50 yards rushing in a game. We've got to block better, we've got to finish better. And if we need to explode on somebody, run over somebody, make somebody miss to make yards, that's what we've got to do,
best comments head review sit soap time trying
I don't want to sit here and review all the comments I've made to him over the time we've been together. Just know that as the head coach, I was trying to make it work. I don't want to have a soap opera. All I can tell you is in my heart, I know I did the best I can do.
inflate
I don't want to inflate his start, or deflate it,
best inflate lifetime start
I don't want to inflate his start or deflate his start. In my lifetime in the NFL, he's the best back I've ever coached.
barber both confident corners coverage duo good great kelly love
I don't think these two corners get enough credit. They're really good players. Kelly is a great coverage man. Barber is a very good coverage guy. They both tackle. They don't make mistakes. I love these two guys. I feel confident that they are a great duo once again.
ahead hoping wishful
He's not probable, he's questionable. I got a little ahead of myself and I apologize. I was hoping he was probable. I said that with wishful thinking.
guy looking
He's got all the measurables you're looking for. He can run, he's tough, he'll tackle, he's smart, he's a leader. There's not a lot of things this guy doesn't have.
football good guy pass player special teams
He's made plays. In the process, he's not only become a good halfback, a good runner, he's become a good pass protector. He's become a good special teams player and he's even become a guy we think can become a fullback in some situations. So he's come a long way as a football player.
doctors ready
If he's ready to go, he'll play, ... All I can say is the doctors will let us know. Carnell's going to let us know.
hands
It's unfortunate. He was open, he had his hands on the ball, and he was in the end zone.
means rest three tough
That just means that after three games, I'm making that statement. He has to back it up the rest of the season. But I'll say this about him. He's as tough as they get.
