vast
The vast majority of politicians think they are functioning on high principle.
teen van
I was a typical Valley teen, in smoggy Van Nuys.
people turn winter
People don't want to give up their SUVs. They don't want to turn the thermostat down in the winter and up in the summer.
backyard call falls guess house produce shines strategic trash
Some would call me an environmentalist. I don't know why. I reuse the water that falls in my backyard in the winter. I reuse the trash and clippings I produce for mulch. I reuse the rain that falls on my roof, and I reuse the sun that shines on my house for energy. I guess you could call me a strategic opportunist as much as an environmentalist.
boy cub encouraged found later liked love nature urged
My father also encouraged my love of nature. He urged me to become a Cub Scout, and later a Boy Scout, and I found I really liked being outdoors.
sports
I'm not in this sport to take punishment.
sports
I'm not in this sport to say a guy can beat me.
came contract days gone last life privileged studio time
If I would characterize my life, I would say that I was a very lucky actor who came into very lucky times, and got to Hollywood, and was put under contract by Warners in the very last days of the studio contract era, and was privileged to go through that time which is gone now.
ended hand life toward
I ended up with my life slanted toward television, and I just accept that. I think you play the hand the way it's dealt, that's all.
onstage prep walked
I walked onstage in a play at prep school, and with childish naivete, told myself, 'Wow, I'm an actor!'
abysmal again april came cope fall following freedom freshman grades guess kept lasted prep repeating strict time until wonderful
Having been kept pretty strict in prep schools, I guess I couldn't cope with all the freedom at Yale. I had a wild, wonderful time, got abysmal grades and was bounced out in my freshman year. I then came back the following fall as a repeating freshman, lasted until April and got bounced out again - for the same reason.
huge
When you learn that you inspired someone, it's a huge honor.
time
I don't spend a lot of time thinking about myself.
everybody form free genre judgments people reality television watch
What I don't like so much is people who - how do you say this? - who make judgments over the genre of reality like it's television from the devil, and that's something that I don't like because I think everybody should watch what they like. It's a free world. It's a form of democracy. If you like it, watch. If you don't like it, don't watch.
