I'm starting the Juicy J Scholarship Foundation. I'm going to start doing a lot of different things trying to help out and give back.
I'm still doing me. I try to come up with different concept for my shows, you gotta keep the people interested, but I'm still me.
I'm not old school, like, "Aw, man, I gotta do my music like I did in '98." I just go with the flow. I don't try to change anything.
It's hard for a person to try to keep his stuff together being nominated for something and then performing onstage.
Nothing is going to stay the same; nothing's gonna sound like in 1952. There's some stuff that has some elements of back in the day, like back in the 90's, back in the 80's or whatever. I've seen the flow and the energy go from turned up to turned down to back to turned up. I like to try different stuff. I don't like to do the same old thing over and over again. I don't like to be repetitive, that gets on my nerves.
Just don't hate on anybody; just do what you, you know what I'm saying? Just do you. Just work at it, keep workin' at it.

Just hang in there and never give up, and find out what is your talent. First you got to find your talent and just stick with your talent, and I guarantee you'll get there, man.
My name got kind of hot as a D.J. around town; on the north side of town, they had 'D.J. Juicy J.' That's what I called myself: 'The Notorious D.J. Juicy J.'
Nas is one of my favorite rappers because you don't get any of that flashy stuntin'; you get the real, just raw bars. The way he tells stories and his vibe, I think we would make great music together.
Three-6 Mafia, we were always doing different kinds of things, and we like rock music, we like whatever - not saying they was rock, but they had a little rock-n-roll with some of their music, a little rock with it.
Three 6 Mafia have been around for a long time; we've made a lot of music. Anybody's music can influence anybody. I've heard people say that our music has influenced such and such, and it could be true, and it could not.
I work on holidays. I work on birthdays. I work on New Year's. I work. I keep my ears to the streets.
