Julia Mancuso
Julia Marie Mancusois an American World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist. She won the giant slalom at the 2006 Winter Olympics, and was the silver medalist in both downhill and combined in 2010, and the bronze medalist in the combined in 2014. Downhillers are going over 110 miles per hour. But no matter what, you can't hit the fence at 100 miles per hour.
It's really inspiring to see somebody go down so hard and come back and compete -- and do such a good job.
Going into the second run, I just had to remember it was about skiing, it wasn't about winning or about what place I was in. Once I kicked out of the start gate, I just tried to go my fastest.
