Julie Maurine Foudyis a retired American professional soccer midfielder who played for the United States women's national soccer team from 1987 through 2004. She finished with 271 caps and served as the team's co-captain from 1991 to 2000 and captain from 2000 through her retirement in 2004. I think the challenge is keeping (women's sports) consistently in the public's eye, and not with just every Olympics, or not just every World Cup. It shouldn't be a four-year affair. It should be something that is continuous. I think that's the next step for women's sports: being an everyday presence.
She (Finch) is a wonderful person, and they want to see that. They want to interact with her and talk with her.
