I think we're coming together faster than I know a lot of people thought. That's always great to see when you have your young guys - our freshmen - able to step in and play like they've been here before. A lot of people tried to write us off before the Big Ten started and here you have a guy who is leading the conference in scoring during conference games, he's undersized but he gets the job done and when the game is on the line he's going to hit big shots. He definitely steps his game up against ranked opponents. I just think he deserves it.

I'm sad. I went up to him after the game and I almost started crying because I feel bad for him. Ray's done a lot of things over the years, and he really stepped up this year, in particular, and showed a lot of senior leadership. I thank him for everything he's done for me.
