Every penny donated went for what it was intendedfood, water and cleaning supplies. We always had someone go with us to watch when we bought something, and Kathy put in a lot of her own money, too.

There were huge posts beside the road, all twisted up like modern art. I couldn't figure out what they were, and then it dawned on me. They were billboards!
