I always felt like we were the underdogs. The girls just rose to the occasion. The girls never felt intimidated. We had some pretty good success. We put a lot of points on the board and it was really fun and challenging.

These kids haven't won a regional championship. Only a few of the seniors were involved when they were freshman. This is an exciting time for them.

I haven't mentioned anything to the girls, but I remember that well. Hopefully tonight, maybe we can reverse the tables.

Jill would get bumped or hit and buckle over at the waist. She just didn't handle the contact very well. Now, she thrives on it. She's the one going through a screen with her shoulder down. She's more the intimidator, the physical presence, than other teams. She likes the physical game now.
amy basketball club hands knows smart veteran
At the end of the game, we wanted it in her hands on the free-throw line. It's just smart basketball. We're a veteran club and Amy knows just to go right to Tiffany. We have to play smart basketball at this time.
came kelly knew minutes pair quite three win
Kelly and Jill are quite a pair inside. We all read how they came back from 16 down with three minutes to play to win the sectional, so we knew we couldn't let up.
anybody surprise
We're going to go to our strengths, and we are going to go inside. It's no surprise to anybody what we're going to do, and we're going to keep doing it.

We want to go to Jill in that situation, but they just did a good job of collapsing on her.
