alabama catch hard letting needed players second
I think Alabama said in the second half, 'No more letting him catch it. Let's make it hard for him to get it in there. Boy, we didn't get a lot done with the other players when we needed to.
athletic conference finished games happy kids ninth overall players program rewarded second thrilled tied toughest western won
I'm very happy that our players have been rewarded for what they've accomplished this season. We won 20 games overall and finished tied for second in the Western Athletic Conference, which is the ninth toughest conference in the country. I'm thrilled that our program and these kids have been rewarded.
against bad best building coming defended defending forgot good guard league player second
I thought we, for the most part, did as well as you can defensively against these guys. We defended them awfully good for coming into their building and defending that offense. Unfortunately, I thought our guard play was bad in the second half. (We) forgot about the best player in the league right now.
competition john lennon seemed understood
John Lennon did that, too, ... He seemed to be in competition with me over drugs, and I never really understood that.
acoustic beast electric finally great guitar hand heard hearing muddy night playing seemed sleep slide smooth studio time track turned until waters
Mick playing great guitar helped, ... I sleep downstairs and the studio is upstairs. One night I thought I was hearing this old Muddy Waters track I didn't know, but it turned out to be Mick working on a slide part for Back of my Hand . He's always been a good, smooth acoustic player, but the electric seemed like an untamed beast for him until this year. When I heard him this time I thought, 'My God! The boy's finally got it'.
morning phones praise sure turned wake
Mick has to get up in the morning with a plan. Who he's going to call, what he's going to eat, where he's going to go. Me, I wake up, praise the Lord, then make sure all the phones are turned off. If we were a mum-and-pop operation, then he'd be Mum.
gratifying
Who is this gratifying and where were the Africans?
political song storm
My only thing about this song is, the album's cool, ... sidetracked by some little political storm in a teacup.
both good time
This time of the year, you just need wins. I think both of us have had good years, but I think both of us want to have better years.
good offensive stops
We didn't get the stops and we didn't score. That little spurt hurt. We're not a very good offensive team.
agree looking news realized sat totally
When we got the news about Charlie, we sat there, looking at each other and thinking, 'OK, what now? We realized we may not totally agree on everything, but there are too many plusses to our relationship.
achilles ball basketball good heel offensive shoot
If we shoot the ball well, we go from good to pretty good. That's kind of been our achilles heel all year, is the offensive end. If we make shots, we are a pretty good basketball team.
acoustic electric finally great guitar run seemed since tamed
He's been working on his electric guitar since we've been off the road, ... He's always been a great acoustic player, but the electric always seemed to run out of his hands. Now, I think he finally tamed the beast.
candles clear icing music plan telling until yelled
There is no clear plan until the music is telling you what to do. It yelled at us, 'Do not overproduce me. Do not put the icing and the marzipan and the candles on.'
