He may have difficulty remembering something that happened two weeks ago, unless it was something that made a real impression with him. But the doctors tell us that's just a part of the recovery process when a person has been in a coma.

He made so much progress while we were in Atlanta and my hope is his progress will continue with the therapy he's going to be receiving two to three times a week in Huntsville.

The goal is to get him back into school full time, but I don't know how long that will take and neither do his doctors. I'm basically praying for another miracle.

He has some difficulty reading. Over the past couple of months I've learned how complicated the human brain is. Where most people take for granted their ability to put together whole sentences or convey their thoughts into words, Drew is having some difficulty with. He can speak. He just has difficulty at times expressing in words what it is he wants to say.

He says he doesn't remember the accident itself and the doctors say that is normal for a person who sustained the type of injuries he did. He has seen the stories that have appeared in The Cullman Times and we're saving them for him. He thinks he's famous now.
