fear guys love type whatever whether
I don't know whether it's the fear of getting embarrassed or whatever but we've got a lot of competitive guys and we really love to play in these type of games.
almost guy knew remember shot stealth stepped
I will always remember Brett for that goal. I will remember him for being a guy who was almost like a stealth player. You never knew where Brett was on the ice, and then all of a sudden, he stepped into a shot and scored.
based certainly difficult poor
It certainly wasn't based on anybody's poor play and that's what made it such a difficult decision.
break knew screwing taking
I thought he was joking. I thought he's just screwing with me because he knew I was taking a break for a week.
anybody demanding hard himself honest player pressure special talk themselves
He has an honest appraisal of himself. He's hard on himself and he's demanding of himself. That's what makes special players. You talk to anybody who is a special player in the league... They put more pressure on themselves than anybody else does.
allowed aside coach ego flourish found friend good great guys loyal man pat people respect role skills wonderful worked
I found him to be a good friend and a great competitor, and one of the most loyal guys I worked with and for. He has wonderful people skills and he allowed everyone to flourish in his respective role ... he put his ego aside to allow that. I respect Pat Quinn the coach and Pat Quinn the man much more.
goal pass third
But that pass and that goal at the end of the third period... the goal was great, the pass was unbelievable.
hockey next start trying weekend
You don't want to start out next weekend trying to find your hockey game.
division game motivate title
I don't think we need a division title game to motivate us right now. I think what we need is better play for 60 minutes.
asking eric gives guys help stability
He'll help immensely. Eric gives stability back there. It allows the young guys to go back where they are more comfortable and we're not asking too much of them.
absolute nice
It was nice not to have an absolute nail-biter for a change.
hard knew power
They are never out of it because of their power play. We knew that if they got the (power play) chances, they are going to be hard to play against.
attitude jon level necessary sustain unable
If Jon had the attitude he has now he would have been a 30-goal scorer. He was unable to sustain the level of play necessary to keep him in the lineup.
air deflation feeling great locker poured
It was a great feeling in the locker room, it was a great start, and then it was bang, bang, bang. It was over. We poured so much into it and then the air went out completely. The deflation was unbelievable.
