counting obviously
Obviously it's a disappointing loss. We were really counting on him.
felt hopes scholars-and-scholarship season sit until wait
I just felt that it was appropriate to wait until the end of the season with Manny. Obviously, our hopes and expectations are to go all the way this spring. But when the season's over, I'll sit down and evaluate.
deal happy player produce remain room shown
I'm really happy that we got a deal done because we always wanted Henrik to remain on our team. He's a young player who has shown he can produce in the NHL, and yet there's room for him to grow.
basically bought coming free hank happy ourselves players prime year
Pavel and Hank are two young players who are very, very important to our franchise. In Hank's case, he's really coming into the prime of his career. I'm happy he made a long-term commitment; basically we bought ourselves one year of unrestricted free agency.
allowed
The rollback allowed us to keep more of our nucleus.
address answered areas case concerned goal left marks might money needs question salary scoring size stay until
The two areas I'm still concerned about is goal scoring and our size and toughness. We only have so much money left to stay under the salary cap, so I don't know if we'll be able to address all of our needs in our new world. We're going to have a lot of question marks that might not get answered until midseason, but I think that's going to be the case for a lot of clubs.
means
If we have to wait, and it means we're going to get Pavel in our lineup -- I'll wait.
great hours news tough
It's been a tough 12 hours for our organization. The great news is that Jiri Fischer is doing very, very well.
closer
I'm not concerned, but the closer we get to Sept. 12, I will be.
great hockey steve
I want Steve to play this year. I still think he's got some great hockey in him.
certainly coming spoke won
I spoke to Pavel this morning. It's all confirmed. He's coming back. We certainly feel like we've won the lottery.
continue definitive doctors four gather minimum monitor physical six weeks
The doctors have told him that it's a minimum of four to six weeks with no physical activity. Obviously, they'll continue to monitor and continue to gather information. Still, as of right now, we still do not have a definitive reason.
ends hope however red uniform wings
My hope is that he ends up in a Red Wings uniform - however long it takes,
goals sure
For the most part our goaltending has been OK, ... But I'm sure there are some goals they'd like back.
