makeup talent wait
And while we can't wait too much longer, we know we've got to get this thing righted. We've got the guys. We have the makeup to do it, and we've got the talent to do it.
close definitely felt guys knew looking people shot situation three took
I was definitely looking for the first down first, ... I knew the situation and felt anything that was close to getting a first down was covered. They had some people on Randy, two or three guys on him every play. J.P. was on the safety, so I took a shot at it.
bad came critical jerry point
It was a bad throw. I had Jerry for the first down, and it got away from me. It was unfortunate because it came at a critical point in the game.
anyone hurting neck rich says smartest tremendous week
That's what Rich Gannon 's all about. After he got hurt, he was still in the meetings, he was there. His neck was hurting but he was still a part of it and really wanted us to be successful. That pretty much says it all about him. He's one of the smartest quarterbacks I've ever been around. ... I don't think there's anyone better than Rich Gannon . He showed that week in and week out the way he played, too. He was a tremendous competitor.
fast goes
Sure, we'd like to have a fast start. We'd like to be 16-0. But it's a long season. Hopefully, we get better as it goes along.
ball defense keys played run winning
Our defense played great, and we were able to run the ball well. Those are the two keys to winning a game.
quick
I've got to make decisions. I've got to make quick decisions. I can't manufacture something.
certainly four key last reflect time victory week
I think it's key for us to get this win, certainly going into the bye week, and having time to reflect and think about the last four weeks. To get this victory is going to make the off week a lot better, for sure.
safe situation stay throw warrants
I still want to stay aggressive. I want to try to get everything I can, but at the same time, if the situation warrants that I throw it in there, I'm fine. But if not, I want to be safe with the ball.
england funny randy throw throwing worry
I find that very funny because when I throw to him too much, like I did in the New England game, it's 'Oh, you're throwing to Randy too much,' ... And then when I don't throw to him enough: 'Well, you're not throwing to Randy enough.' ... In my mind, I can't win that battle, so I'm not going to worry about it.
certainly chances game hurt offense prove reasons responsibility
I think you look at every game and there have been different reasons for it. Penalties, I think, have hurt us. Certainly I take responsibility for things I could have done better and it's been frustrating. But we've got two more chances to prove we can be the kind of offense we thought we would be.
aftermath countless goes heart hurricane orleans people reminder sad struggling
The devastation in New Orleans is so sad and is a reminder of what is really important in life, ... My heart goes out to the countless people struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
bit expect knows needs second seems talking time training work
He just seems so much more comfortable; I was talking to him a little bit about that here in training camp. This being his second time around, he knows what to expect ... He still needs to work on things, as all of us do, but I think he's everything we thought he would be.
england hype open playing season tough
That was a tough way to open up the season ... all the hype and everything and playing in New England, which is about as tough a place as you can play,
