Whenever there's a coaching change, players always have a little apprehension about it. Lauren might have given me a little more credibility at first. But they are all my kids now.

That fifth year helps a lot of players. They are more mature physically and mentally. Part of being a good player like Lauren is that teams try and take her out. With the exception of a couple of games, Lauren has been solid for us. She's so consistent; you know what you're going to get out of her every game.

I wasn't very happy at halftime. We made a couple of adjustments, one on defense where we decided not to switch the screens, and our effort in the second half was much better.

I watched us put chains on the bus late Thursday night before we went over Wolf Creek Pass, then it was dark when we came back over it on Saturday. That's the worst trip - six hours in the cold bus after a tough loss.

We had it on the board all week that we were 1 games out of first place in the West. I was a little worried we might have an emotional letdown (Saturday) and we did.

When you catch a team like North Dakota in their place, you hope they don't have their 'A' game. They shot 50 percent from the field, which is excellent. And they shot 32 percent from 3-point range, which is adequate. Of course, they shot 31 3s, so that's great. And they did a good job on the boards.
