It's different when you know someone and you don't have to reflect on everything they're doing. We knew she was doing great things, but to us, it was more on a personal level.

I just thought about the impact she was making on me. Then, it took more of a global perspective. To know the work she did alone is amazing, but then to know her as I did and her best friends did - it was a bigger perspective. If you knew her, you loved her, and not for the changes she made on the world, but for the small changes she made on everyone in the world.

The more time we've spent discussing it and planning for it and getting ready for it to happen, the more it means. It brings me peace in a way. I feel proud of him for his commitment, but that's the kind of person that Matt is, too.
