We felt that it was something that if we could change it, we would. We've helped ourselves there quite a bit, but now they have to prove it.
add anticipate blues both couple excel excited including next player solid strong type wing
Vladimir is the type of player who can excel in many different situations, including at both wing positions. We are excited to add him to our organization, and I anticipate that he will make a strong contribution to the Blues for the next couple of years as a solid forward.
ready says tells until
Until he tells us he's ready ... We'll see what he says on Sunday.

We've got a decision to make. I think it's good for all parties to get together and make sure that everybody understands where we're at.

dictates gets good knows lines offensive opportunity player puck skill stick top vision
Peter's got a good feel for the puck in the offensive part of the game. He's a give-and-go player and he knows what to do with the puck. He's got good vision and he gets his stick on the puck. He's got some good anticipation. I think his skill dictates top two lines and that's where he'll get a lot of opportunity in those areas, and we'll see what he does with it.

coach difficult execute forward full games head inherited job mike opportunity overall plan remaining return season situation somewhat team vision
Mike inherited a somewhat difficult situation with 21 games remaining in the 2003-04 season, but he did an outstanding job of steering us into the playoffs. We very much look forward to having Mike return for a full NHL season as the Blues' head coach and give him the opportunity to execute his overall vision for this team and a plan for success.
asked face hockey ice played
Let's face it, who's a better defenseman in this game? He logged a lot of ice time, played hurt. I don't think we could have asked any more, and he's still got a lot of hockey in him.
