Matt is a dominating franchise quarterback who should be picked at the top of the first round.
Football's a team game, so if there's drug use going on there are other ways than testing to deduce if a player has problems, like if his coach and teammates are with him every day in practice. That's why this whole scenario seems unbelievable.
The fun part of it was because he was across the street, he came over every day, and in essence, we had a surrogate son for a couple of weeks.
Nobody wants to kill this golden goose. I don't like the salary-cap system. There's nothing I like about it except that it's a system that both sides have been able to agree upon. But that has meant that football's been able to concentrate its energies and efforts at the union and management level on developing new revenue sources and promoting the brand with the general public.
He would love to play in New York.
New Orleans is a classic city with a wonderful heritage, which I am sure will rebuild. The Saints are a team with some pretty terrific offensive weapons. If New Orleans is interested in Matt, then I am sure Matt will be interested in them.
That one city is absolutely incredible in terms of the voracious nature of their appetite for anything associated with the Steelers in general and Ben specifically. There is a love affair going on with Ben and that city. He has a blue-collar work ethic with a touch of charisma.

It is not in your interest to pull one over on the other side and get them to make a bad deal. You want the situation to be justifiable and reasonable while getting what you want. The two of you might be doing deals in the future.
The details and the process are in their court. But let me say that I am optimistic about the process. He's planning on returning.
No one knows how quickly the extension to the CBA will happen. It will be really interesting to see how the issues get resolved, because the peace and harmony that has helped to make the NFL so popular is very much on tenuous ground. The clock is definitely ticking.
As for football in L.A., it's going to take a loooong time before another team comes here.
Early on last season, a love affair was struck between Ben and Pittsburgh. His blue-collar roots, his Midwest values meshed perfectly with that city.
The first issue that needs solving is club vs. club. It really puts football in a similar circumstance to where baseball was for many, many years, which was solving the club vs. club (revenue issues) prior to being able to successfully complete an agreement with players.
