lead players positive stayed took
I thought our players really, really stayed focused. Even when (Butler) took the lead at the end, they had a very positive attitude.
campaign coach ncaa successful
I am not going to be a coach that is going to try and campaign to get into the NCAA Tournament. I just think we are a top-65 team. I am not the one evaluating it, but it would be a little more significant if we are successful (today).
business care certain gotten march miss particular
If you go in every day with the idea that you have to be a certain place in March and don't take care of business that particular day, then you miss out on that day you could have gotten better.
appears conscious credit effort felt formula playing political quality seems teams time top
There used to be a time when you felt there was a conscious effort to get the top teams. Now, it seems to be much more political than it used to be. It appears we we're not getting much credit for the quality of teams we're playing in ACC. There's a formula out there that seems to be flawed.
continue painful
This is very painful because when something comes to an end that you want so bad, you want to continue to keep playing. It hurts.
fighting fights-and-fighting guys proud
I was proud of our guys for fighting back at the end. We just couldn't get over the hump.
appears develop difference quality season stronger
And now at the end of the season it appears that we're stronger than we were because we have been able to develop quality depth. Hopefully, that will make a difference here in the tournament.
actions speak
I think I just have to let the ACC's actions speak for itself.

four great sure switching
They have such great perimeter shooters that we had to go to switching one through four just to make sure that we were there on the catch, and we had not done a whole lot of that.
amazes beyond body confidence facial language maturity obviously plays question team watch
Obviously he's a load. There's no question about that. He's way beyond his years in maturity. You watch him and you watch his body language and his facial expressions and you can tell the confidence that he plays with. But the thing that amazes me is his team has so much confidence in him.
adversity andrew coaching earned extremely happy injuries known maintained number positive respect youngster
Andrew probably has been through as much adversity as any youngster I've known in my coaching career, just having the number of injuries he's had to endure. He's always maintained a positive attitude, and he's earned respect of his teammates. They're extremely happy for him.
comments critical equal impact knocked looks maybe necessary parts players plays relation seen stops technical theirs tough win
Any comments that I make in relation to the technical foul, and the impact that it did or did not have on the game, I think would be seen as (taking) away from how outstanding I think Duke's players played. They made tough shots. They made the plays they had to make to win the game. We had equal opportunities, and we didn't come away with the points. We didn't get the stops that were necessary during the critical parts of the game, and we had maybe even some better looks than what they had; they knocked theirs down and we didn't.
adjusting al anyone burning desire feeling good gym himself matter reacting spends style time
Al has always had a burning desire to be a good player. He spends more time in the gym by himself than anyone we've had. For him, it was just a matter of adjusting to our style and feeling comfortable. He's now reacting and not thinking.
