In our position, we could have a big house with maids and chauffeurs - but what's the point of having kids if you have all that?
In the years since I first met Paul Ive had all sorts of labels stuck on me. Now the new label is businesswomen. Sure I have this business. But what I am, what I am myself, is a photographer.
James is studying architecture now, but neither Paul nor I would be surprised if he moves into music, as he has such a passion for playing.
Out of the six of us, I am the quietest.
I absolutely adore my kids more than anything. They're my best friends.
Stella is doing great as a designer, and I love her clothes. We went to her first Chloe show in Paris, and I was just so proud of her and the reaction she got.
I'd lived in Arizona, and I loved Arizona. But I had a husband I was separated from, and a baby to support. So I moved back to New York. I used to think it was scary. I remember the first time I drove into the city, right after I got my license. All that traffic, those buildings. Oh! Scared me to death!
Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will break my heart.
I used to get on great with journalists until I married Paul.
They all have some talent. Mary plays the recorder beautifully. I am not pushing them on, though. They are pretty good at the moment just being kids.
We stopped eating meat many years ago. During the course of a Sunday lunch we happened to look out of the kitchen window at our young lambs playing happily in the fields. Glancing down at our plates, we suddenly realized that we were eating the leg of an animal who had until recently been playing in a field herself. We looked at each other and said, "Wait a minute, we love these sheep-they're such gentle creatures. So why are we eating them?" It was the last time we ever did.
I had daydreams and fantasies when I was growing up. I always wanted to live in a log cabin at the foot of a mountain. I would ride my horse to town and pick up provisions. Then return to the cabin, with a big open fire, a record player and peace.
If you see something that moves you, and then snap it, you keep a moment.
I would travel only by horse, if I had the choice.
