Lindsey Caroline Vonn is an American World Cup alpine ski racer on the US Ski Team. compromise conditions forward health looking race racing
I was really looking forward to the race because I know I can do well on this hill. But I really wouldn't want to compromise my health by racing in conditions like today.

I have this weird pocket of fluid in my back and it doesn't seem to want to go away. If I keep doing therapy, I hope it will go away. I don't really know what else to do.

The conditions here were tough and it was really difficult to do well. But I have had a good feeling in downhill.

She was incredible, she spent the whole night with me until 10 o'clock. She cried with me. She said she knew I can do it, that I have to be positive and get back out there as soon as I can. She knew as soon as I got back out there, I'd have a medal. Just not today, I guess.
