After the second period we talked about that to be a good team we had to find ways to get back into games like this. And at the end of the night we deserved to win.

Every night it's highlight-reel goal after highlight-reel goal. You'll get to see probably five a night in our league. And the guys that can skate are the guys who stand out. I think the game has greatly improved.

As a team, there's nights when you need his enthusiasm, you need that desire to go through anybody. His fearless attitude on the ice is something that keeps other teams on their toes. There's nights you just can't have another player do that. He's full bore, straight ahead, and the first guy there when there's trouble for any of his teammates.

I told the guys in there that this is a hell of an accomplishment, something they can be proud of. When you win on the road, it shows you have a team that competes night and night out.

He's built for the game. He's got good tools at the back end and he's a very good defender. We've never given him a set role. He began to play well on the power play and he gained a lot of confidence from that. That confidence came from him knowing that he would be in the lineup night after night.

I think it would've been a very big disappointment if we didn't win. You don't know what (a loss) would've done to the psyche of a young team. But to win, that lifts everybody.

He just doesn't feel right. Until we get him through that, he won't be skating.

He's been put on the concussion program again, but the first one was so severe I think the program may go longer. There's no set time on when he can be back or when he can even resume practice. Symptom-free for a week doesn't necessarily mean he can have contact again. That could take weeks.

He wasn't out, but he wasn't there. I had a conversation with him and it was more like a conversation with myself.

I thought coming out in the third period we really set the tone. We made a statement that we were trying to go after it. We went after it hard. We got some key saves, some key defensive plays that allowed our power play to win the game.

He didn't get the quality ice time of some of our players, but he made the best of the ice time he did get. I thought he was our best player on the ice in the first period.
