plays pressure pull run speed stop
It still comes down to a speed game. You're not going to have a lot of time, especially on the rush, to stop up and make a lot of plays because that back pressure is going to run you over. So it'll be interesting in that sense. He still has to skate. You can't pull up and stickhandle.
overcome support tough
That part has got to better. They've had some tough times. We've been able to overcome some of those times. Right now, we haven't been able to, but we got to be able to support them better at times like this too. That's it for me, thanks.
fired gave momentum trade
A big trade like that gave them a lot of momentum right off the bat. I thought they were pretty fired up.
talked until
No, no. We haven't talked about that. Until you're in, you're not in.
man satisfied stopping
I can tell you to a man nobody's satisfied with stopping there. We want to keep this thing rolling.
anxious cleared dose giving good later physical rule stuff
He's anxious to play. He's cleared for physical stuff in practice, which we're giving him a pretty good dose of today. . . . I wouldn't rule him out for later in the week.
deserve determined difference encourage guys hard playing push room somebody
You really do get that feeling. Those guys in that room deserve a lot of credit. They push each other. They encourage each other. They're hard on each other at times. But they like playing with each other. Those guys are determined to have somebody make a difference every night.
chances five four himself odds pressure
He's in on four or five chances every night. The odds right there aren't where they should be because he doesn't need that many chances. I think he's put a little pressure on himself to get the first marker on the board.
early smile ugly
There was a lot to smile about early on, but it was getting ugly and I didn't think there was any need for the ugliness.
healthy team weeks
He's sore. . . . Could he play? I think if it was a do-or-die situation, we may take the chance. But we need a healthy team weeks from now, not right now.
fans great sign star team wave
I thought it was great idea, just to give the fans a wave and just a sign that it's been the team all year, and it really was the team as the first star tonight.
days definitely feeling free generally seven symptom
He still wasn't feeling well today, from dizziness, generally foggy. He definitely will be in that concussion category, where at least for seven days he's going to have to go symptom free (before he can skate), and it could be longer.
brought collapse guys kept low poor squeeze team triangle trying
That was disappointing, but we made some poor decisions. They brought their triangle in real low and we still kept trying to squeeze plays. When you see a team collapse as much as they did, it would have been better for our guys to shoot.
carried maybe needed
Maybe Jochen needed to be carried off the ice, and then that's a suspension. That's sad, but maybe that's what it is.
