explain guys lost number stand tough
It would've been tough to stand here and explain to you guys why they had our number if we would've lost again. It's satisfying.
deserve determined difference encourage guys hard playing push room somebody
You really do get that feeling. Those guys in that room deserve a lot of credit. They push each other. They encourage each other. They're hard on each other at times. But they like playing with each other. Those guys are determined to have somebody make a difference every night.
brought collapse guys kept low poor squeeze team triangle trying
That was disappointing, but we made some poor decisions. They brought their triangle in real low and we still kept trying to squeeze plays. When you see a team collapse as much as they did, it would have been better for our guys to shoot.
coming create guys playing sitting staring
You don't want to create undue pressure, but the pressure's coming from the guys that are playing around him, ... I don't think if you were sitting there staring at the stats you would feel comfortable.
five game goal greatly guys night skate stand
Every night it's highlight-reel goal after highlight-reel goal. You'll get to see probably five a night in our league. And the guys that can skate are the guys who stand out. I think the game has greatly improved.
guys looked punched sweat upstairs
Our guys upstairs said right away that it looked like he punched it in but I still think you have to sweat it out because you never know what's going to happen.
guys heads held last points proud
Our guys have done an unbelievable job. To get 16 of our last 18 points is something to be proud of. Their heads should be held high.
cuts definitely easy good guys limited looking players round several
Several of those players had very good camps, but we're limited on room. They're not easy decisions. When usually you go through the first round of cuts you're looking at second-tier guys. Some of these guys will definitely play (in the NHL).
adjust group guys happening mistakes players surprised talented worried worry
I think you adjust with the players you have. I think we're a talented group that's surprised a lot of people. For myself, I just let those guys play - not worry so much about the little mistakes in the game, more worried about the things that are happening all the time.
couple disrupted good guys handle missed net passing power selection shot
Our entries weren't very good. Our passing wasn't very good. Shot selection was bad. We missed the net on good opportunities. We didn't get traffic. We had a couple guys on a couple shifts with the power play that couldn't handle the puck, and it disrupted the whole power play.
couple disrupted execution guys handle passing power
Our execution and passing wasn't very good. We had a couple of guys on a couple of shifts who couldn't handle the puck, and it disrupted the whole power play.
guys hell night proud shows team win
I told the guys in there that this is a hell of an accomplishment, something they can be proud of. When you win on the road, it shows you have a team that competes night and night out.
adversity battling check credit games guys key number quit room stepped won
There's no quit in our team. Check our record, the number of games we've won when we've been down by a goal. You've got to give the guys credit. The number of guys we've had go out of the lineup at key times and the number of guys who have stepped up ... you've got to give every guy in that room credit for battling through adversity and doing it every night.
guys quality quit tells
It just tells you about the quality of guys we got, and that there is no quit in us.
