kindness adversity not-giving-up
Adversity is the first path to truth.
roses save soft spirit
Where the virgins are soft as the roses they twine, / And all, save the spirit of man, is divine.
fixed improved less preparing seal species spiritual tenderness though wax
We have progressively improved into a less spiritual species of tenderness -- but the seal is not yet fixed though the wax is preparing for the impression.

dew drop falling perhaps produces small words
Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling like dew upon a thought, produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think
eruption high imagination intelligence means poet poetry prevents rank scale whose
I by no means rank poetry high in the scale of intelligence --this may look like affectation but it is my real opinion. It is the lava of the imagination whose eruption prevents an earthquake.

hath healer heart oh time-and-time-management
Oh Time! the beautifier of the dead, adorer of the ruin, comforter and only healer when the heart hath bled... Time, the avenger!
dew farmer king left realm worse
A better farmer ne'er brushed dew from lawn, / A worse king never left a realm undone!
track guilt claims
To what gulfs A single deviation from the track Of human duties leads even those who claim The homage of mankind as their born due, And find it, till they forfeit it themselves!
