Louis Charles Carter "Lou" Holmeswas a professional ice hockey centre who played 56 games in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Black Hawks from 1931 to 1933. He was born in Rushall, England, United Kingdom, but grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. After his playing career, Holmes coached the gold medal winning Edmonton Mercurys at the 1952 Winter Olympics. Everybody is pushing me (to commit). I am focused on just graduating in the midyear and having a good season, and then I will make my decision somewhere down the line. I do like it here. UA is one of my top schools for sure.
