changed course gotten last since though
I feel like even though the course has changed, I've changed as a player, too. I've gotten better since last year, so it shouldn't make too much of a difference.

You see some of his drives ... if I could hit it that far, this game would be easy. But you still have to get the ball in the hole.

With the conditions, all the courses are there to make some birdies. I think the scoring is going to be good this week if the weather stays like this. Sixty-two is a great start, but it's not like the tournament is over. I have to keep playing solid golf. Hopefully, I can do what Phil did last year.

We call him 'plod'. It's fairways and greens with Luke, he kind of plods his way around the golf course. He's a very boring player, which is a compliment in golf.

We were steady, nothing too great. But I was glad to come out with a win.
couple distance thinking
I think the way the greens are, you need to be very accurate with your irons. Whether there's wind or not, the most important thing out here is being able to control the distance of your irons and the direction. I've done that pretty well the last couple of days.

I've been at the front a couple of times and won back in 2002, but I haven't been in that position too many times over here in the United States, so we'll see how it goes.

I watched the Olympics as a kid. It would be fun to try to win a medal. If I could swap Olympic gold for a US PGA Championship? I'd take the Major every time.
golf play guy
The qualifying system helps the top guys like Sergio Garcia, who play most of their golf in the U.S. They can rely on the world rankings and just play their four extra events [with the four majors and three World Golf Championship events counting as seven European events]. But for the other guys it's tough, and I don't know if that can be changed. It is a tricky situation.
days glad guy people phil saying shoots shot time took
When Phil shot his 62, a lot of people were saying it would be a long time before another guy shoots 62 out there. But it only took 365 days or so (actually 366). I'm glad it was me.
