This is a very sad day for us. This hunt is not about public safety. This is a trophy hunt, plain and simple. But the bears don't belong to just the hunters. They belong to all of us.

If it's someone's pet and you're keeping it at home, there's just too much room for error there. Hopefully, Lady will not get rabies, but we have to assume the raccoon was rabid.
