Major Lee Applewhiteis an American football coach and former player. Applewhite is the current offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Houston. In 2013, he was the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Texas. Prior to Texas, Applewhite served as offensive coordinator at Rice University under Todd Graham in 2006, and at the University of Alabama under Nick Saban in 2007. That goes back to not accepting it. What if I said, 'Yeah, you're right, Chris is better, I'm just going to be prepared to do mop-up duty.' I don't think we would have won. I think they would have had an unprepared quarterback.
When you're that young, you can't come to grips emotionally so you isolate yourself from your teammates. So my junior and senior years, I felt it was no longer my team. I lost a lot of good relationships and friendships.
