game lose loss spoils
When you lose a game it just spoils everything. The loss overshadows anything personal.
fortunate good hits kept overall single team
Two-out hits are always good. Furcal kept the inning going with the single up the middle. I was fortunate to hit one. It was a good overall team win.
game good great pitching solid timely
Finally, I think this is our first solid game - great pitching and, more importantly, timely hitting. It was just a good game overall.
ball control good next three
Now we control our own destiny. We've just got to play good ball these next three games. Right now we need to get it (clinching) done at home.
ball control good next three
Now we control our own destiny, ... We've just got to play good ball these next three games. Right now we need to get it (clinching) done at home.
bunt defender double hoping mind obviously order runners swinging
Obviously a double play is not in order with the runners going, so as a defender you're thinking, 'Get the runner out,' ... When the swinging bunt happened, I had it my mind that I was going home, hoping that Pedro didn't get alerted that I was going.
One to 10, this is a 10 or 11. It's very disappointing.
changing coming guys
Things are changing. We've got the young guys coming in here changing it for us.
baseball caught gone last ourselves pat running series three winning
Running away with it is the last thing we need to do. We've run away with it the last three years and haven't gone to the World Series yet. I think we get a little too caught up in winning the division. We always want to pat ourselves on the back ... for winning 13 in a row. Let's see how many World Series we can win in a row, or even get to.
clutch couple keeps last
Same old Pedro he's been the last couple of years. He keeps you off balance. We had our chances, we just couldn't get any clutch hits.
guys learn losing maybe rest seems silly top worth year
To me, it's not worth losing one of your top guys and they can't play the rest of the year for a concert. It kind of seems silly to me. Maybe we can learn something from this.
fun
Oh, he's ready. It's going to be fun to watch.
golf
You should see his golf swing. It's unbelievable.
kick
This is another big homestand for us. We need to kick it up a notch.
