I focused in the third set and won it. Obviously I'll need to improve for my next rounds, but I'm pretty sure I'll get better.
I felt really good. It feels good to get back into action. It's good to be back on the court competing. That's where I belong.
You never know what to expect in the first round. I did enough to win and I'm pretty satisfied.
I thought it was too easy in the beginning,
My dad was my wake-up call and he said, 'Good morning, champion,' ... He is really happy. My mom called later, and she is really happy.
I've said this like 30 times. I feel like I'm saying it again. The physical part of my game is very important right now. It's what I'm working on. That's what's been improving. I mean, if you look at me a year ago, I don't think I was at this point physically. It didn't take five days, it didn't take a month. It took a whole year to progress and get better.
It's so windy today I'm really glad I had a piece of chocolate cake last night or else I would have been blown away out here.
The score doesn't say much about the match,
By using my name in a mobile gaming context, I hope that tennis fans will be able to share my passion, whatever the weather or conditions of play.
I'm playing pretty well, but it is going to get tougher and tougher.
She's got a lot of fighting spirit out there, ... I was very proud of myself for being able to win that game. It was a very tough one.
She has had a really good week. She's beaten some good players. Just have to keep improving with every match. It's going to get tougher and tougher as you go along in the tournament.
A couple of points in the third set made a difference to the end result, ... When I was 1-5 down, I played very relaxed and tied the score but at 5-all, she held her serve after she had a couple of lucky points and it turned her way. I should forget this loss because I had two good weeks in Russia and will take positive things from my game today.
The surface here is very dangerous as you can see from today's match.
