balls completion early good great grip knew lost threw worry
I knew when he threw it that he lost the grip a little bit, ... I told him it was a great decision, and not to worry about it. Early on, many times the balls are a little slick. If he had a good grip, it would have been a completion for at least 40 yards.
backed start tough
Being backed up and not being able to make a first down, that was a real tough way to start the game.
portfolio thinking
I'm not thinking about my portfolio in the huddle,
fortunate
He's a real big-play guy, ... and we're very fortunate to have him.
football good
Good player. He just had a big day. You've got to give him a lot of credit. Very good athlete, very good football player.
team winning men
Hed been to the playoffs before. I was asked last week what I thought this season has felt like for Coach Gibbs. I would think it must seem very familiar to a man with all those playoff wins. Hes a great coach who understands how to get his team to play.
fun wife fields
It was good to be out there again. Actually I told my wife the same thing: Itll be fun to go out in a stadium on a field competing. Even though it was just a scrimmage.
pressure needs balls
For me personally, I need to anticipate pressure and tuck the ball away.
good
I can't tell you how frustrating it is. We've got a good team.
draw drives efficient game ideal kept throw
I'd take that game over any. That was ideal for me. That is as efficient as you want to be. We didn't throw a lot, but when we did it was effective. We kept drives alive. It was just the way you draw it up.
bit dropped plant
I dropped back a little bit and I was able to plant and throw, so that's good. I feel better.
advantage ball giving hurt mistakes offense playoff realize situation smart team three
The offense that makes the most mistakes, that's the team that's going to lose. They had three turnovers, we only had one and it didn't hurt us. In a playoff situation like that, you realize that that is the most important (factor) - being smart with the ball and not giving it to them, because if you do, they're going to take advantage of it.
avenue exploring free looking options smith
That's the avenue we're looking at, exploring our options at quarterback in free agency,'' Smith said.
battle remains
That remains to be seen. I do know for us we're battle tested.
