I wasn't getting ahead in the count. Whenever you are falling behind in the count, you have to lay a pitch in there.
Not with us being in the National League (parks) and pitchers having to hit. I don't think there's a chance that's going to happen.
It was probably one of the best games of my career, ... We found my changeup in the middle innings and in the seventh and eighth innings I made a couple of key pitches and had a ground ball and a couple of outs. But it was one of the best games of my career.

One day, I'll hopefully pitch here in St. Louis. I love Chicago right now, and if they signed me to a lifetime deal, I'd sign it. But if I get the opportunity to put that (Cardinals) uniform on for at least one game, I'll do it.
Down in the bullpen everything was working for me. Pretty much in that situation, you got the Adrenalin going and if your arm is hurting or whatever, once you get on the mound. ... I was pretty loose. I can throw 15 or 20 pitches and be ready to go.
St. Louis has a better offense, but Houston has a better pitching staff. Either way you look at it, it's not going to be easy.
I wanted to go back out there for a couple more innings. My pitch count was down, and it was the best I've felt all spring.
The team that struggles on the road or the one that uses the light in center field? Something's strange. They don't play so good on the road, and at home everybody's Babe Ruth.
They didn't pay him $55 million for nothing. I knew I had to settle down to give our team a chance.
He just said that I had bad technique and I was going to get hurt. There's no fine. If I do it again, there will be a fine.
Every time I've seen it, it looks like it could go either way. One time, he looks out and one time he looks safe. I'm glad I wasn't put in that situation to make the call.
I couldn't stand him when he was on the other team.
I've heard rumors, so it's not just me saying this. I've heard it from tons of people. ... Something's going on because they hit so good at home. The way they hit here, you'd have to raise an eyebrow to figure something's going on. Look at the stats. I'm not just making this up.
