admit great stay telling
Admit no failings. Think positive. Stay in the present. Keep telling yourself: I'm a great player.
A lot of self-doubt and a lot of demons,
change great played round saw thinking ways
There's a long ways to go. JJ played a great round and I saw what he was doing out there. You know you've got to make birdies. It really doesn't change your thinking any.
everybody start won
This is where you want to start out. Everybody here won a tournament. That's a big thing nowadays.
changing plans
This is changing my year-end plans a little,
feeling missing
After missing so many, I had a feeling I was going to make it. That's one of my better pars of the year.
feeling missing
After missing so many, I had a feeling I was going to make it, ... That's one of my better pars of the year.
bad good lose nature
That's just my nature. When things go good for me I'm streaky and I'm very good. And when they go bad for me I lose it.
career chance few guys hitter short unless week win
A short hitter has got no chance unless he has a career week with his putter. Only a few guys can win here now ? we all know who they are.
balls couple eight five hole last lost missed played shot thousand today turned weeds
I played awful, ... If there weren't 20 marshals on every hole and a couple of thousand spectators, I would have lost five balls today and shot about 84. I missed the last eight fairways and was in the weeds every hole. I turned an 80, literally, into a 71.
break dead drive edge feet five front good great hit knows laid needed played score seventh shoot six three tree yards
I needed to shoot a good score today, and I did, ... I played well, got a great break on one hole. I snap-hooked a drive on the par- five seventh into the hazard. It was dead left. It hit a tree and popped out to the front edge of the fairway about 100 yards off the tee. I laid up with a three-iron and hit a sand-wedge about three feet and made a four. It should have been a six or who knows what.
course maybe scores shot surprised
I'm surprised that the scores aren't lower. With the course conditions, I really thought someone would have shot 7- or 8-under for sure, maybe even 9- under.
again alone believe honestly tournament win
I honestly never thought I'd win again let alone a tournament this big. I'm just unbelievably happy. I still can't believe it.
alone course demons doubt floating golf honestly inside moments self win
I really never honestly thought I would win again, let alone on a golf course like this. I have my moments when I'm pretty good, but I have a lot of self doubt and a lot of demons that are floating around inside my head.
