choose couple given good hill liking muddy occasions race ran skip sloppy taken track weather
She's taken a liking to the 6 ½ down the hill and we're all set to go, weather permitting. She ran on a sloppy or muddy track on a couple of occasions and (has) not given very good efforts. We would probably choose to skip the race on any kind of an 'off' track at all.

available closing dirt early faces handle hill horses liked race ready running speed time
It was a combination of things. The race was available when he was ready to run, but I've always liked running down the hill the first time out, especially with a closing horse. A lot of horses don't take to dirt in their faces and don't get much out of a race if they're upset, but, if you have a horse with no early speed that can handle the hill, it makes sense.
