address areas care commission concerning created define delivery economic health medical minorities minority native needs projects purpose research services state status
The commission was created in the ' 90s, to address the needs of minority individuals in Arkansas, and they define minority as African-American, Hispanic, Native American... etc. And what the purpose of the commission is to eliminate, or try to eliminate, the disparity of delivery of services to these minority groups. Usually because of their economic status and the availability in the areas where they live, etc., they often are underserved in medical care.... They (commissioners) have health fairs. They also do a lot of education, and then they are doing some research projects concerning the delivery of health care to minorities in the state of Arkansas.
