Historically, we haven't done well at this tournament. Last year we were fourth, and to get fourth, you have to lose twice. Second is better.

Overall, scores were higher than I thought. I'm proud of both Haley and Kari. Now we finally have one who has advanced to state. Let's hope the weather will be a little better.

Crump's stuff midway through the first game got us fired up.

Amanda will be a force for us. She's really come along. She started at the end of last year and this year has really got it down. She snaps 'em down.
beat conference ends last nervous night played practice whoever wins year
That made me nervous at practice. Typically whoever wins the conference ends up going 10-0 or 9-1. But we played Carbondale the first night out last year also and beat them.
attaching defense exciting good match net serving
It was an exciting match with a lot of attaching and net play. Benton had good serving and attacked, but our defense was great.
against definitely hard repeat state talent
We'd definitely like to repeat as state champs. I think we have the talent to do it, but it's hard to tell when you're scrimmaging against yourself all the time.
figure kids list rest trying
We're still trying to figure out who will play back there. The rest of the kids on the sub list all could end up in that spot.

We were strong at the net and had several players get in and do a great job.
