A lot of galleries around RTP are corporate markets and that's a big part of their patron base. We just want to show something we like and keep it laid back here. We don't want the intimidating environment that a lot of galleries have.

Most of the people who attend these openings are artists, musicians and students; now they can come see a show and actually afford to take some of the pieces home with them.

Sometimes you have a concept first, and then you try to find artists that echo the idea you have.

We'd love to be able to make studio visits, but it's really hard to do that. We prefer it when people e-mail us images of their work.
