bad life pitch start totally
It got things off to a bad start that inning. You make that play and it's a totally different inning. That's the life of a pitcher. You have to get through that and pitch through that.
dictate good hit pitches
Where I hit in the lineup shouldn't dictate my performance. It has no correlation. I just have to get good pitches to hit.
carried conviction cool cucumber encourage learn mound pitches shake style talk
I encourage him to shake me off. That's how I'll learn his game, learn his style. I tell him it's more about the conviction of his pitches than the selection. If I have an issue, I'll go out and talk to him. We've had some discussions on the mound and he's been as cool as a cucumber out there. I can't say enough about his composure. I think that's carried him to this point.
chance face good guy hit pitching trying
Here's this guy pitching so well, and he's already in mid-season form, and there's a good chance we're probably going to face him, so I'm trying to take some notes. It's going to take everything he has not to hit me.
coming great pitches role time tough trouble
He just had a tough time getting pitches where he wanted them and too many walks. It's really tough to spot-start. He's in a tough role right now and was coming off a great game. He's had trouble locating his stuff.
confused conviction faster figure giving good guys learn pitches process push versus
I really push having conviction in pitches that you throw, versus the selection. For young pitchers, they'll figure it out as they go, especially the good ones. Over years of learning, I can't keep giving them information. They have to learn to process it themselves. Some guys learn faster than others, and some guys don't learn at all. Things can get confused if I try to do too much.
affect catching nervous pitches
That's really what I'm more nervous about, because I'll see a lot more pitches catching than I will hitting. Hopefully, it won't affect us too much.
dispute either gets guy pitches talked throw
That is surprising. He's all about efficiency. But he's talked about how he's had to throw more pitches as he gets older, and that's part of it, too. Either way, the guy is 5-0, and you can't dispute that.
good honor last pitch shape tremendous wrong
It's going to be a tremendous honor. He's in too good of shape for this to be his last start, but I could be wrong and he won't pitch another game. But it isn't because he can't pitch.
currently effect indication
We're currently investigating but there is no indication to that effect (that it was an attack). This is an underground pipeline.

awful checking classes hours literally minutes online power sitting three
When the e-mail was down after that power outage, it was awful because I had three classes for which I had to do online assignments. I was literally sitting there for hours waiting, checking every 15 minutes to see if it was working.
abject arc based guilt joy lover man matter moon moves piece poem power pregnant raise sorrow stay string tells walks women
This string sextet by Schoenberg is based on a Viennese poem in which a women walks with her lover under the moon and confesses that she is pregnant by another man. The man tells his love he will stay with her no matter what and raise the child. The arc of the piece moves from abject sorrow and guilt to joy and underscores the transformative power of love and commitment.
afford prove slow work
We have a lot to prove early, and we have a lot of work to do early. To get to where we need to go, we can't afford a slow start.
