competitor everybody wants
Everybody wants to play all the time, and I'm no exception. I want to be out there every day as a competitor and a player. Unfortunately, that's not how it's been. I'm not complaining but at the same time, it's not something I particularly enjoy.
celebrated won
It was huge. By the way we celebrated on the field, it was about like we won the World Series.
certain deal dealing easy guys
It's frustrating. It's tough. It's not easy to deal with. Certain guys deal with it in certain ways. That was probably his way of dealing with it.
bunch finish next people plans strong team thinking
You want to finish strong for a whole bunch of different reasons, as a team and individually. You never know what people are thinking or what their plans are for next year.
closer feeling full games good plate start
It is frustrating, because I've been feeling good at the plate and it's getting closer to the start of the season. We only have 12 games left. It's frustrating, but you can't do anything about it but just try to get back to full strength.
call drive salary
I think that's in every player's mind. They call it the salary drive -- September.
call drive salary
I think that's in every player's mind, ... They call it the salary drive ? September.
drove good sit swing
I was able to sit back on it, had a good swing and drove it over the fence.
add hard imagine itself playing rookie year
It's hard to imagine what he's been going through, to just get back out there and do what he's doing now. Being a rookie in itself is tough, and then to add in a whole year of not playing ...
behind build character confidence definitely giving helps matter nice regular win
No matter if it's a come from behind win or a regular win. It's nice to have to build our confidence and build character in the clubhouse. It definitely helps the team. We're not giving up on each other.
bit came games hit home injury missed runs six spring three time
I mean, I only missed six games, that's nothing. Six games is not a substantial time at all. And then when I came back, I hit three home runs in three days, so I don't think anything has to do with the injury or the little bit of a setback in Spring Training.
bit hope maturing
I hope so. I'd like to think that we are maturing a little bit and able to get some things done that we couldn't before.
both case deal felt focus great happy nice spring strong twins
It's nice to have the deal done and be able to focus on Spring Training. We felt like we had a strong case and the Twins also felt that way, so it's great that we could get a settlement where both of us were happy with the result.
count pitch threw
He threw every pitch that he wanted for strikes. He threw it where he wanted, any count he wanted. As you could tell by some of their swings, he was on today.
