begin bigger chase dogs expensive flight future hope kept lie means people porch program proud renewed sad shuttle space time undertaken younger
This is a sad day for NASA. ... But also one of renewed hope for the future of NASA's manned space flight program. The end of the Shuttle Program means that we will begin a new program that will be bigger better and more expensive than anything we have undertaken before. I'm proud of the people that have kept the shuttle going, but the Shuttle Program is done. Its time for the shuttle, like an old dog, to lie on the porch and let the younger dogs chase the rabbits.
budget keeps money nasa
This is not about new money, ... This is about a budget which keeps NASA ... approximately where it is today.

That's going to be the best against the best from all over. We'll see what we're made of.
apollo unless vehicle wants
Think of it as Apollo on steroids, ... Unless the U.S. wants to get out of manned spaceflight completely, this is the vehicle we need to be building.
apollo
Think of it as Apollo on steroids. But understand, we did not set out to make it look like Apollo.

city everybody excited farmer happy kansas represent satisfying since stepped today win
I'm pretty emotional. This is the most satisfying win since I've been here. Today was real fun. We were real excited for the game. Cory Farmer really stepped up for us; everybody stepped up. I'm so happy that we get to go to Kansas City and represent UIS.

If next week the guys have a eureka moment on the foam and spot why this big chunk came off and they say, 'OK now we understand it, we truly understand,' and tell us why and we buy it, and the next tank doesn't have this problem, then we'll go forward.
coming feet
his feet actually were coming up off the ground.
aviation common flight hardware listening opinions people sending signals spend stuff test theme time
If you spend much time on this stuff and aviation accidents, a common theme is that of not listening to the signals the hardware is sending - the test results, the flight results, the dissenting opinions of the people involved.
apollo folks
By and large, the Apollo folks got it right,
apollo
It is very Apollo-like ... but bigger. Think Apollo on steroids.
building committed departing fly included number remains shuttle space vision
The administration remains committed to the vision for space exploration it has announced. That included a number of components, one of which addressed the fly out of the shuttle and the building of the station. We aren't departing from that.
gained knowledge losses perspective
The knowledge we gained was gained only through many, many losses. That is the perspective through which we must look at our losses in spaceflight.
