beat dad died glad good guy last later meet realized seed sophomore state week year
I was the No. 1 seed the last two years in the discus at the state meet and didn't win. My sophomore year, I wasn't ready. I was kind of awe-struck. Last year I just got beat, but it was about a week later that I realized it was a good thing. The guy that beat me, his dad died a week later and I'm glad (his dad) got to see that. This year I'm going to win.

South Carolina was the first school I took my visit to and it just felt like home. They called me Mike and really made me feel welcome.
