brought couple entire runs team
A couple of times he's made runs that brought our entire team to its feet.
everybody last played quite situation week
I thought last week (at Houston) we should have played everybody that was there, but the situation wasn't quite right or they weren't quite ready.
break contain key speed strong
He is the real deal. He's a very strong back with the speed to go all the way. I think what he have to do is try to contain him. Obviously, he's going to get some yards, but the key is to not let him break the big plays.
ability fairly learn natural pleased route
He's just a fairly natural athlete. I'm actually the most pleased with his hands. He's got a lot to learn on the route running, but he has some natural ability that way. I'm excited.
field fits offense option overall sees within
He's more comfortable in the shotgun, more comfortable with the run-pass option more often than not. He sees the field better, and I think overall he fits within the offense better.
created funny joker laugh practical stuff
He's a prankster, a practical joker to the max. ... He created a lot of funny stuff, stuff we still laugh about.
position specific time
I think that we've probably, more than any other time than I've been here, addressed specific position needs.
needs played ready step
Jackie, having played two years in the program, needs to step up and I think he's ready to do that.
happened scheme worked
That wasn't by accident. That happened because that scheme worked for us.
felt football game giving importance people realized sure understood urgency
I think they realized it wasn't enough for them to want it, or to be giving everything they have. They wanted to be sure other people understood and felt the same sense of urgency and sense of importance about the game of football and about the team.
balanced creative defense finding football overall people places special supporting team ways win
But I do think overall they are probably more creative in finding ways to win and supporting each other -- offense, defense and special teams. It's a balanced football team because we can look a lot of places for people who will win this game.
backup entire maybe people starter
Dennis has been the starter the entire time, and he is the starter. We have just tended to play our backup more than other people are maybe comfortable with doing. I don't know that that's going to change.
perfect simply
Awesome. Simply awesome. I don't know if they are a perfect team, but they come close.
both bring drop enter great hang heads men mentally table tough
As both of these men have shown, they have great resiliency. They're tough mentally and physically, and they bring something to the table when they enter the game. They don't drop their heads or hang their heads when they're substituted for.
