Things definitely started to unravel in the sixth inning. We made a couple of mental mistakes on a couple of plays, but they played hard and you can't fault anyone.

I think the home-plate umpire made a bad call on the balk because the batter had asked for time. And I think that threw Kristen off because she had just given up back-to-back doubles and she didn't need anymore problems.

She's so smooth on the mound - that's what I saw in her first start that caught my attention. Nothing bothers her when she pitches.

I loved that we got the lead for a change. I think that set the tone because we had given up early runs to the other team so that was good for us to get on top early.
