One of our dreams was shattered today, there's no doubt about it. We had a goal of being the county champs. First we wanted to win our division, and we did that. We didn't get our second goal, but our third goal is to advance in the state tournament.

The shots got harder. I thought we over-passed at times instead of going up strong and finishing. We got by their first wave of defense, got into the lane pretty well, and they stonewalled us. That's where they had four or five steals.

We preach balanced scoring that's the way we hopefully can beat teams. If you take away option one, we have option two, three and four.

The extra pass is what's putting us into scoring situations. That's something I grew up learning under Vaughn Stapleton. The kids have to buy into it. They have to realize that our goal is not to have great individual stats -- it's winning.
