This is only the third time I've been to the mound since I had three weeks off, ... One was good and one was bad, so I didn't have any idea what to expect. The two extra days off certainly helped me.

This is one of those situations you have to deal with. We'll get back out there as soon as possible, but I'm certainly not going to risk anything long-term to get out there and rush myself and try to do something I shouldn't do.

With Jaret back, even though Small deserves to be in the rotation, he gives us a legitimate long guy. He makes our bullpen better, so if there's a situation where the bullpen needs to get four or five innings, we don't have to kill the 'pen. That's something we haven't had.
