Michael Lorri Sciosciais an American former Major League Baseball catcher and current manager for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He has worked in that capacity since the 2000 season, and is currently the longest-tenured manager in Major League Baseball. As a player, Scioscia made his major league debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1980. We had a lot of guys in our 'pen step up. Kelvim just shined the whole night. That's one of the big reasons why we have him for depth down there, and tonight it certainly paid off.
Out of the chute, everybody is ready. Jeff is certainly not a finesse pitcher, but he is not going to light up the gun.
We'll see how things set up. There are things we're looking at. Certainly we want to give Bart as many starts as we can, and the same with John Lackey.
We certainly set the table, but we couldn't get that hit with guys in scoring position. (Rodrigo Lopez) made some pitches to put some guys away that were on the money, and we just couldn't put pressure on him. We just couldn't get that one hit to kind of get things going.
The ball didn't come down where Figgy thought it would, but it certainly wasn't a routine play.
His stuff was fine, (but) we didn't make a couple of plays behind him, and they had some hits fall in. The wild pitch certainly didn't help us, but it's just one tough inning. Shields will be fine.
It is an aggressive baserunning play. I don't think it is one we're going to design unless you're Willie Mays Hayes.

Our goal is to have every catcher relate to every pitcher. I don't think there is anything getting in our way of using any catcher at any time.
Our feeling is this: I know the guys in our clubhouse. If they scheduled a game for 1 in the morning, we're going to show up and play, ... We have a tough schedule, but we're still playing baseball and we're getting to do something we enjoy.
Our game has not surfaced, ... It's not a matter of choking; it's just a matter of playing our style of baseball.
