We did this with the well-being of the students in mind. We want all of our students to be ready for the professional world, and the (Bachelor of Fine Arts) programs are just not getting that done.

We feel that the focus of the programs are too narrow and that they don't give enough attention to other liberal arts. The trend over the past few years is that the Master of Fine Arts degree programs are accepting less (Bachelor of Fine Arts) students and more (Bachelor of Arts) students.
