anybody bats drawing fastest good hitter hitting kid turned water
She wasn't hitting well right-handed and she's the fastest kid on the team, so we turned her around to where she bats left-handed and it was like drawing water from the well. She's as good of a left-handed hitter as anybody we've faced.
machine
That's what they are. Machine guns. I don't know how many. I know some guns.
april beat exception execution five job nice poor runners
It's been nice overall, with the exception that I thought we did a poor job of execution (against Pleasant). When we beat Watterson (10-4 on April 19), we got five runners on in the first inning and it was just, boom, boom, boom, we were up 5-0.
expect focusing hard tuesday win
Everyone is excited, but it's hard not focusing on the one that just got away (last Tuesday at Northridge). We expect to win now.
battle both constant happy lead teams typical
It was a typical 4-5 game. It was a constant battle with the lead going back and forth. Both teams made big shots, and I'm happy to come out on top.
battle catcher good helping kids last players quick role typical
Even with the kids who were role players last year, they're all good players, they're all quick and they all want to win. The battle for catcher is just typical of everything about this team. When one is not in the game, they're helping each other out.
call game gone knew matter referee shot top tough
The referee on top made a no-good call right away, so I knew it didn't matter if the shot was off in time. That's a tough way to lose. In the worst-case scenario, the game would've gone into overtime.
